Here's the Rub
America's drive-in wanted to serve up an awesomely addictive game for its customers. But with 3,200 restaurants and 168,894 drink combinations on menu, Sonic already had a full plate of responsibilities in their corporate office—so they came to Blockdot for a fully-cooked solution.
The Fun Stuff
Flavor Shot challenges players to use their straw shooter to create three or more identical flavor bubbles. The more identical flavor bubbles created, the more points earned! The game incorporates the flavors that make up some of Sonic's tastiest drinks, like cherry, blueberry, apple, and chocolate.
Besides creating the fantastic Flavor Shot, Blockdot designed a microsite for the game—one that provides complete support of all game and marketing activities, such as hosting, registration, game scoreboards, and
"challenge-a-friend" e-mails.
The Results
Branding reinforcement, registration of customers' email addresses, and cool game play—but without burdening Sonic's IT department. In addition, Blockdot's microsite provides Sonic with the tools needed to gauge the performance of the game. It all adds up to an incredible ROI!
